Flower Care

How should I care for my flower arrangement?

Fresh flowers are living pieces of art, and proper care will help them stay beautiful longer.

Arrangements in floral foam
Floral foam holds water to keep stems hydrated. Check the arrangement daily and gently add water to the center of the design to keep the foam moist.

Flowers arranged in a vase
Ensure the water remains clear. If it becomes cloudy, empty the vase, rinse it, and refill it with fresh water mixed with the floral food provided. If possible, trim approximately ยฝโ€“1 inch from the stems before returning them to the vase.

Hand-wrapped or boxed flowers
Remove all packaging and any foliage that would fall below the water line. Trim the stems at an angle and place them immediately in a clean vase filled with fresh water and floral food.

For best longevity, keep arrangements:

โ€ข Away from direct sunlight
โ€ข Away from heating or cooling vents
โ€ข Away from televisions or appliances that emit heat
โ€ข In a cool, draft-free location


Why does the water in my vase turn cloudy?

Cloudy or yellow water is a natural sign that bacteria are forming in the vase. Bacteria can clog flower stems and shorten the life of your arrangement.

If the water becomes cloudy:

โ€ข Empty and rinse the vase
โ€ข Refill with fresh water and floral food
โ€ข Trim the stems before placing them back in the vase

Changing the water regularly will significantly extend the life of your flowers.


Should flowers be placed in direct sunlight?

No. While flowers grow in sunlight, cut flowers last longer in cooler environments. Direct sun and heat will cause them to wilt more quickly. Place arrangements in a cool area away from windows and drafts.


Can wilted roses be revived?

Sometimes. If a rose begins to wilt prematurely, you may be able to revive it by rehydrating the stem.

  1. Fill a sink or bowl with warm water

  2. Submerge the stem and trim about one inch off underwater

  3. Allow the rose to soak horizontally for about two hours

If the rose has already reached the end of its natural vase life, it may not fully recover.


How long should flowers last?

Most fresh arrangements last four to seven days, depending on the flowers used and how they are cared for.

Regularly refreshing the water, trimming stems, and keeping flowers in a cool location will help maximize their lifespan.


Orders & Delivery

How will I know when my order has been delivered?

Once your order has been delivered, an email confirmation will be sent to the email address used when placing the order.

If there is an issue completing a delivery, our team will contact you directly.


When will my flowers be delivered?

Deliveries are completed during our normal delivery hours on the requested delivery date.

Because delivery routes are optimized daily, specific delivery times cannot be guaranteed.

If your order is time-sensitive, please contact us at 678-336-1195 prior to placing your order.


What happens if the recipient is not available at the time of delivery?

If the recipient is unavailable, we may:

โ€ข Leave the arrangement in a safe location when appropriate
โ€ข Leave the flowers with a concierge, receptionist, or front desk
โ€ข Attempt to contact the recipient using the phone number provided

If delivery cannot be safely completed, we will contact the sender to coordinate next steps.


Can I add special delivery instructions?

Yes. Delivery instructions can be added during checkout when placing your order online.

If you need to update instructions after placing an order, please call 678-336-1195 with your order number as soon as possible.


Can I change an order after it has been placed?

Changes may be possible before an arrangement has been designed or dispatched for delivery.

Please contact us promptly with your order number if changes are needed.


Can I cancel an order?

Because floral arrangements are custom designed and perishable, cancellations may only be possible before preparation has begun.

Please contact us as soon as possible with your order number to request a cancellation.


Do you offer same-day delivery?

Same-day delivery may be available depending on order volume and delivery schedules.

Can I request a specific delivery time?

While we understand that some deliveries are time-sensitive, we are unable to guarantee exact delivery times due to routing logistics.

What information is needed for hotel deliveries?

For hospital deliveries, please include:

Please note that some hospital units do not allow flowers.


Do you deliver to businesses and offices?

Yes. We frequently deliver to offices, hotels, and commercial locations.

Please include the business name, suite or floor number, and a contact phone number for the recipient.


Quality & Satisfaction

What if there is an issue with my order?

Customer satisfaction is extremely important to us. Because flowers are perishable, any concerns regarding an arrangement must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.

Responsibility After Delivery

Once flowers have been delivered to the address provided, responsibility for the arrangement transfers to the recipient.

Peachtree Petals cannot guarantee the condition of flowers left outdoors or unattended in extreme temperatures.


Incorrect Delivery Information

Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information.

Peachtree Petals cannot be responsible for delivery delays or non-delivery caused by incorrect or incomplete address details.

Additional delivery fees may apply if re-delivery is required.


Photo Verification

To ensure accuracy and quality, our delivery team may take a photo confirmation at the time of delivery. This photo serves as verification that the arrangement was successfully delivered to the address provided.


High-Demand Holidays

During peak floral holidays such as Valentineโ€™s Day and Motherโ€™s Day, specific flower varieties may vary due to seasonal supply and high demand.

Our designers will always create arrangements that reflect the intended size, style, and value of the selected design.
